The 724 Downtime Station is a purpose-built business continuity workstation designed to support NHS Trusts during network or system outages.
Created for use with Oracle Cerner’s 724 downtime programme, the cart provides secure, immediate access to essential
patient data when normal digital systems are temporarily unavailable.

Purpose-built

Housed within a robust mobile workstation, the unit includes an integrated PC, display screen, keyboard, mouse and A4 printer.
In the event of downtime, authorised staff can enter a secure access code to unlock the workstation and gain access to the PC and peripherals, enabling them to view critical information and print physical copies of required data while systems are offline.

The 724 Downtime Workstation was developed in response to a specific customer need, where no suitable off-the-shelf solution existed. While supporting the replacement of their mobile cart fleet, we worked closely with the customer to design a purpose-built workstation from the ground up for Oracle 724 Downtime business continuity system.
The result combines clinically led design with Dalen’s UK manufacturing expertise to deliver a solution shaped around real-world operational requirements.
